How to remove your flash disk safely

Removing the flash disk is easy. You just remove it from the USB port. But if you take for granted can lead to some risk of damage to the flash disk or on the existing data in it.

Before you remove the flash should be on the safe remove first. This is useful to ensure that no files, programs from the system or a process that is still working on the flash. Power flow (electrical current) into the flash would be disconnected / flash is really off.

Sometimes the safe remove does not work, chances are there are still programs that access files or folders on flash, for example you open a Microsoft Word file then you must first close the Microsoft Word file.

Anti virus monitor which flash disk is usually plugged in and do the scanning automatically and is not visible (in background). This often makes the safe removal difficult. Usually by turning off the anti virus will be able to resolve the issue.

If the above still can not, and you need to unplug your flash is immediate, then you must make sure that you have closed all applications and files in the flash. Look at the indicator lights flash if there is activity, if no you can remove your flash disk.

The point is to first remove the safe, if not close all applications, if you still can not be forced to withdraw in advance to ensure all activities related to the flash you've stopped (see the indicator lights flash)
